Rain in Burberry London Fashion Week AW 2012-2013
Burberry Prorsum is one of my favorite fashion show during London Fashion Week. Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey combined country and town styles for an elegant collection. He created cropped tailored bomber jackets, draped hem blanket skirts and sculptural dress shirts featured prominently. He also created pencil skirts with large bellow pockets, peplum skirts, and double-breasted jackets.
The trademark for the Burberry is their raincoat, so Burberry used rain at the end of the show when all of the models walked together carrying brightly coloured umbrellas. The rain is made of silver paper. There is also rain at outside of the transparent marquee in which event was hosted. “I think Burberry is a quintessentially British brand that Christopher has totally reinvented and made young and hip and fun and made an incredible global success,”Anna Wintour said.
Victoria’s Secret loses one model
Kylie Bisutti has quit as one face of Victoria’s Secret after achieving her biggest dream to become their model. “My body should only be for my husband and it’s just a sacred thing,” Bisutti said. Bisutti joined models including Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, and Rosie Huntington Whiteley in 2009 Victoria’s Secret catwalk after beating 10.000 other hopefuls to the prize. But in the end, wasn’t worth it. Bisutti told FOX411 that Victoria’s Secret was my absolutely her biggest goal in life and it was all I ever wanted career-wise.
“I actually loved it while I was there, it was so much fun and I had a blast. But the more I was modelling lingerie - and lingerie isn’t clothing - I just started becoming more uncomfortable with it because of my faith. I’m Christian, and reading the Bible more, I was becoming more convicted about it. It is a very hard industry to be in without falling into things you don’t want to do. I’ve fallen into many things that I wouldn’t have wanted to do, it’s a very tempting industry.”
It’s so sad that she didn’t join Victoria’s Secret anymore, but I respect her prinsip. So good luck for your next career.
Made Fashion Week
Many models will be performed at the runway in just over 10 minutes and it makes the editors and buyers feel difficult to remember and take a note to all of the collections. Now it’s time for Made Fashion Week, make this process easier. Made Fashion Week’s mobile app will be available for iPhone, iPad and Android. We can download it from the Apple app store, the Android Market, and Milkmade.com. Made Fashion Week will unveil today a new digital platform to showcase its participating designers this season. It is including an app for mobile devices that will broadcast live images of runway shows and presentations as they unfold. With this app, we can also type notes on specific looks and tweet about the show (with the #madefw hashtag automatically applied). There are also designer biographies, inspiration statements, and relevant contact info.
Wow! It makes me curious and want to try it immidately.
Madonna performs at Super Bowl 2012
Recently Madonna releases a song which collaborated with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. The song is Give Me All Your Luvin. Now pop star Madonna is set to perform at 2012 Super Bowl halftime show, joined with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A . The show was held on February 5, 2012 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. I found the video of the performance, but it’s not in good quality. The theme for the show was a somewhat historically confusing mix of Roman gladiator meets ancient Egyptian. Madonna’s dress for the performance by Givenchy couture, the headpiece by Philip Treacy, and the jewelries by Bulgari.
Overall I like the show and good luck Madonna for your next career.
Katy Perry’s New GHD Campaign
Katy Perry was transformed into a glamorous version of a mermaid for new campaign. It is ghd’s air hairdryer. The 27 year old singer was shot by renowned photographer David LaChapelle.This photo also releases in Marie Claire magazine. With advanced ionic technology and a powerful professional motor, the brand’s first ever hairdryer promises to deliver the best results of any hairdryer on the market and transforming the hair of women over the world. “David La Chapelle made the set amazing,” Katysaid via Yahoo. “It was fun, I got to have purple hair which foreshadowed the real purple hair I had last fall. It’s as if Lisa Frank had done The Little Mermaid”. Katy admitted that she was such a fan of Disney movies, so she loved the mermaid costume. Then she was considering keeping it for next Halloween.
Selena Gomez become a cover for Cosmopolitan March 2012
After young starlet Dakota Fanning, now Cosmopolitan picked Selena Gomez to become a cover for their March issue. Selena Gomez looks pretty in sexy pink dress for this cover. The 19 year old star is definitely growing up and she looks more mature. She has been slowly introducing a more adult image to her fans. First, she came with the sexy stage costumes and now she’s trying her hand at more edgy roles, like the upcoming “Spring Breakers”, directed by Harmony Korine.
In the new issue of Cosmopolitan, Selena opens up about her relationship with her boyfriend, Justin Bieber. “I’m just like every 19 year old girl”, Selena explained to the magazine. “If you’re in love to the fullest and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible”. Luckily, Justin feels the same way. And she added, “I’m fortunate that I have found someone who has that philosophy”.

Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian Go Topless for New Jeans Ad
The Kardashian sisters are flaunting their spring collection in a new advertising. They went nearly naked and only wear jeans. They show off their famous curves as they pose in a new photo. For this photoshoot, they want to promote their clothing line for Sears, the new Kardashian Kollection Denim and Bruno Schiavi as a co-creator. The jeans come in three different cuts to flatter everybody type. This sexy photo was shot by fashion photographer Nick Saglimbeni. The pose in this advertorial are Kourtney reclines on her back and her legs intertwined with Kim, while Kim was sitting on a platform, and Khloe leans against a wall. I think they never cease to make sensation and I wonder what will they do after this.
Fasten your Chanel seatbelts: Sky’s the limit for Karl Lagerfeld
The fashion world was taken on a flight of fancy aboard an Air Chanel aeroplane on Tuesday for Chanel Spring 2012 Couture Show during Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture. It piloted by designer Karl Lagerfeld. For me, this fashion show is awesome. They also have creative concept. The backdrop was chose by German genius and he needs five days to construct it. It complete with Chanel logo carpet, skylights and aeroplane seats. The collection of the fashion show was a “monochrome rainbow” of blues, blacks, and creams, in straightforward silhouettes that moved easily from day to night. “No ’50s, no ’60s, no ’70s; just what I like,” Karl Lagerfeld said for this fashion show. Suits, dresses, and jackets were structured and clean, with dropped waists, puffed sleeves, low pockets, and wide, stand-away necklines. For evening, there were tiered gowns and organza trapeze cocktail dresses glimmering with crystals, beads, sequins, and high-shine PVC. There are many celebrities that come to this fashion Show. They are Cameron Diaz who is becoming a regular on the Paris couture scene, Elizabeth Olsen, Vanessa Paradis, Diane Kruger and Clemence Poesy in the first class front row.
Rihanna launches new fashion TV show
The We Found Love hitmaker, Rihanna will produce and appear on a TV show. It will launch a hunt to discover a new fashion designer. It will air on Britain’s Sky Living network. This series will be aired exclusively in this year, but they havn’t tell us the specific date. For the final challenge and ultimate task for the winner, they have to design a unique stage outfit for Rihanna’s performance in Hyde Park in July 2012. The show picked star Nicola Robert to front the show.
Talking about her involvement in the show, Rihanna said: “I’ve always had a great love of fashion. It’s a constant source of inspiration in my life, and is a big reason why I’ve grown into the person and artist I am today.”
Nicola added: “I was so flattered when Rihanna asked me to work with her on this show. I’m so excited for us to get started on finding a new up and coming British designer who just needs a chance, a little bit of help in getting their skills noticed.”
Well good luck Rihanna for your first fashion TV show. I’m looking forward for it.
A pregnant Alessandra Ambrosio walked in the Victoria’s Secret & Colcci Show
The Victoria’s Secret angel, Alessandra Ambrosio is five months pregnant with Jamie Mazur. He is a California businessman. This is their second child. They are also the parents of 3 years old Anja Louise. Alessandra Ambrosio took to the catwalk complete with baby bump this weekend for the Colcci Show, part of Sao Paolo Fashion Week in Brazil. Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio has not let pregnancy stop her from strutting around in heels and a mini-skirt. She’s obviously feeling great as well. She even gave a playful wave to pal Ashton Kutcher, who was sitting in the front row of the audience. Ambrosio sported a dress with heels, then short shorts, and a knit sweater with heels.
This is not the first time she walked the runway in pregnant condition. She told US Weekly that she was two months pregnant during the Victoria’s Secret show. When she first found out that she was pregnant, she didn’t want to tell anybody. So no one knew that she was pregnant at the show. “A week before, I told my booker I don’t think I’m going to be able to fit into the clothes because I gained a few pounds already, but we were just quiet. I cut all the sugars and sweets 10 days before. I got my trainer and we were doing lots of glutes and arms and back exercises.”
